Portugal · golden visa · residency by investment

Live where the world goes on holiday.

Portugal grants residency to investors and their families: about seven days a year of presence, the whole family in one application, and an honest road to citizenship. We arrange the investment, the landing and the business. In English and in Chinese.

Why Portugal

The easiest question in the file.

Every residency decision has a hard part. The country is not it. Sun, peace, beaches, wine, safety, schools, and a business climate that welcomes foreign capital: Portugal is where Europe goes on holiday, and where more and more of the world quietly stays.

The golden visa

Residency that asks days, not your life.

The Portugal golden visa grants residency through a qualifying investment, principally €500,000 in regulated Portuguese funds, with cultural contributions and company creation as alternatives. Real estate left the programme in 2023; anyone still selling it is selling the past.

  • About 7 days a year of presence, on average. A base, not a move.
  • The whole family in one application: spouse, children, and in defined cases dependent parents.
  • Nearly every right a citizen has, from day one: live, work, study, build, and move visa-free across Schengen.

Conditions are set by law and change; we confirm the rules in force, with sources, in a free consultation. Legal work sits with independent Portuguese counsel under professional privilege.

Citizenship and the passport

The honest road to a Portuguese passport.

The passport is the end of a road, not a product on a shelf. The road: legal residence years, then naturalisation. The 2026 nationality reform extended the timeline and closed the old ancestry shortcuts; we state the current rule candidly, with sources, in consultation, and we do not sell timelines the law does not promise.

The practical constant has not changed: the clock only starts when residency starts. Every year of hesitation is a year added at the far end.

Business in Portugal

Bring the family. Bring the company too.

Portugal is an EU member with Atlantic logistics, English-speaking professionals, and public money on the table for those who build: agriculture, tourism, technology and more, co-financed by Portugal and the European Union.

We source and present investment opportunities, form and run companies under management contracts, and track every public funding line with its deadline, in English and Chinese, on our live tracker.

Investment specifics are discussed in consultation, not on a web page.

Asked constantly

Straight answers, before the conversation.

How does the Portugal golden visa work in 2026?

It grants Portuguese residency to investors and their families. The principal route is a qualifying investment of €500,000 in regulated Portuguese funds; cultural contributions and company creation are alternatives. Real estate left the programme in 2023. Conditions are set by law and change; we confirm them, with sources, in a free consultation.

How many days a year must I spend in Portugal?

On average about seven days a year. The golden visa was designed for families who want a European base without moving their lives: you come when you want, stay where you want, and the residence years quietly accumulate.

Does the golden visa lead to citizenship and a passport?

A path exists: legal residence years followed by naturalisation. The 2026 nationality reform extended the timeline, and we state the current rule candidly, with sources, in consultation. The passport is the end of a road, not a product; the road is real and it starts when residency starts.

Can Chinese nationals apply?

Yes. There is no nationality restriction, and Chinese investors have historically been among the programme's largest groups. Source-of-funds documentation is examined carefully; we prepare it properly with independent counsel from the start.
